Class Schedule
The California State Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security & Investigative Services for any person desiring to carry an exposed firearm while on duty, requires this course. This course is designed for security guards, armored car personnel, armed alarm response agents, and private investigators. Participants will be instructed in basic weapons safety, legal and ethical aspects, ballistics, basic weapon fundamentals, marksmanship and qualification
Participants wanting to use their own duty belt & gear, firearm with holster, three magazines or speed loaders, are encouraged to do so. Firearms may be rented for $5.00 per weapon system. Participants may bring their own ammunition or purchase ammunition for $20.00 per 50 rounds during the course. All firearms and ammunition are required to be inspected by one of the firearms training staff upon arriving at the range. All weapons are required to be transported to and from the training site in accordance with State law.
An approved form of proof of citizenship is required in addition to the required documentation necessary for attendance. Documents such as a birth certificate, green card, DD214, etc. are approved forms of proof of citizenship
